This idea involves a few steps to allow for customers to "tune in" and have a q&a session while you are doing a live presentation.

Why use Twitter for a Live q&a during a your presentation?

Since the q&a is "typed out" on Twitter, it will be a permanent record of the questions and answers for others to find when searching for answers.

This also is a great way to get unfiltered feedback about the presentation.

Getting Started

At the beginning of your presentation, you should take a minute to tell people about Twitter and how they can participate in a live discussion / q&a during the presentation.

  1. You should also think of a unique "hash code" to use for the topic of your presentation. example: #topic

  2. Tell them to login to their Twitter account
  3. Post any comments and questions with both @twittername and the "hash code" that you came up with (#topic). Use this link to get them started: http://twitter.com/home?status=%23topic
  4. Use search.twitter.com and search for your "hash code" #topic and follow along in the discussions
Give them a link to get started: http://search.twitter.com/search?q=%23topic
  5. Reply to comments or questions with the same "hash code" (#topic)
