Finally after a LONG time of waiting, I have now downloaded an update from NetCom through iTunes that allows me to use my iPhone as a modem for my MacBook Pro.

How I set up my iPhone for tethering, or to be used as a modem

Since the 4th of August, this feature has been available from NetCom. Today is friday the 7th, so I am a bit slow :)

Note: Downloading the latest update for iPhone 3.0.1, should also include this update from NetCom. I had already updated my iPhone to version 3.0.1 before the 4th of August, so this Tethering update from NetCom did not show up.
